The Eagle’s Nest
This is our new name for our Sunday night Ministry Nights. Beginning in June, we have been hosting nights of worship, prayer, prophesy, “soaking” and anything else Holy Spirit led! We meet at our home at 6:30 to 8:30/9:00p.m. We meet every other Sunday. Upcoming dates are Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Nov. 16. Future dates will be listed on our website.

Come and grow in your love of the Lord and His love for you. It is a wonderful setting to grow in your giftings as well and have a chance to practice flowing in them. It’s a chance to get a larger perspective on God as these meetings are open to many different people from all different church backgrounds. The Eagle’s Nest is designed to be a time of rest, refuge and encouragement!

The Eagle’s Rock
Soaking in the “nest” with Abba Father is great, but we also need to be strengthened in His Word! This is our new name for our Sunday Teaching Nights! Also at our home, we meet on alternate Sundays form 6:30-8:30 p.m. and delve into God’s word deeper, applying it to our own lives and moving us forward in Christ. Upcoming dates for Eagle’s Rock are Sept. 28, Oct. 12, Oct 26, Nov. 9. All are welcome at any time but it is best to attend Eagle’s Rock regularly to get the most out of it.

Upcoming Outreach - Christmas project
We are hoping to sponsor a family in need this Christmas. We would like to provide them with gifts and food as a practical needs outreach. We will be accepting offerings for this specific fund at Eagle’s Nest and Eagle’s Rock meetings. (Sunday ministry and teaching nights.) Please bring any spare change you have to put toward this worthy cause.

Teen Nights
God is doing so much these days and many of these things have been “unexpected” for Mike and I. One of these things has been the natural development and desire for a Teen Night once a month. We are sure this will evolve somewhat, but for now we are inviting TEENS (13-19) to our home for a relaxed “game night and hangout” evening on the first Friday of the month. We will do a short teaching/devotional discussion and then let the kids have fun interacting with each other and the adult supervisors.

Romania missions
Teaching and Equipping School
This November, our family is planning to travel to Sibiu, Romania to meet with our key ministry partners and the two local pastors we have worked with about establishing a “Ministry Equipping and Training School”
for the believers there. We have already corresponded with the pastors and they are on board. The “working model” so to speak for this school includes (but isn’t limited to) the following:

The school will be open to men and women. The school will be taught by both Mike and I and other men and women that God partners us with. Students will commit to attending 3 extended weekends a year for two years during which they will be instructed in foundational Biblical truth which will include Spirit filled beliefs, etc, including baptism of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. This is very uncommon in this region of Romania and thus a huge open door for us to pursue. Even more exciting is the pastors’ willingness to have us work alongside them. The second year of the “school” will focus on taking the students out into their own city and villages and doing practical needs based ministry as well as evangelistic outreaches. It will also work to plug the students in to appropriate and relevant leadership roles in their local churches thus strengthening and enhancing the local expression of the Body of Christ. By the time students have completed the second year, we should be able to identify giftings within them and begin to use them in the School as instructors, team leaders, small group leaders, etc. Eventually the goal is to have the Romanians themselves running the school and discipling others as we, as The Truth Ministry, oversee it all.

Upcoming Expenses
Obviously we are going to need a substantial amount of finances to bring these things about both here at home and in Romania. As The Truth Ministry we do everything we possibly can without spending a dime of ministry money. However, with international ministry, things like airfare and paying interpreters and blessing the families who host us and feed us are simply part of the costs involved to complete the work. In addition, any time we go to any country God has put it on our hearts to always bless the needy with some form of practical outreach. A lot of times this takes the form of food for orphanages, school supplies for kids, or rice and beans for school meals.

Currently, we still need $2500 to cover trip expenses for Romania. While that seems like a huge amount to some, the great thing is that when broken down among many, it is easy to attain. God has alwasy provided for all our needs and we have faith that He will continue to. He has always provided for the ministry by the giving of others- thus sending us each and every time as a representative of ALL who have sown into the trip with finances and or prayer! This is what excited Mike and I (and the kids to be honest!)- that we are part of a BODY- and we must GO as the BODY. Each part has a different function- we can GO but we need you to help SEND us. This is fun and exciting and builds faith in all of us!

Would you please pray about sowing a financial seed into this continued work in Romania and respond to whatever God lays on your heart? “Trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight” We need you and we love you!
