Some days are tougher than others. Do you ever feel like you just really screwed up? Do you ever look at yourself and think, ''When will I learn?"
If you do, welcome to the club!
I certainly have times when I feel that way. I used to let it bug me and often even ruin the entire day, but now, I run straight to God for His opinion of me in those times.
Hebrews 4:15 (paraphrased) tells us that we do not serve a God who is unable to sympathize with us and our weaknesses, but we serve a God who knows exactly what we're going through and loves us anyway. In Verse 16 it says ''Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Basically, God wants us to know that when we feel lousy, when we fall short, when we need guidance or forgiveness or healing or anything- we can approach Him with CONFIDENCE. We don't have to squirm our way into His presence and sort of shyly and fearfully ask if we could maybe, possibly, somehow have just a little tiny bit of His grace and mercy. NO! The Word says we can approach Him with confidence SO THAT we may receive grace and mercy to help us! The whole point of approaching Him is to get what will help us.
Don't underestimate God's love for you. Don't underestimate His desire to help you.
When you need Him, APPROACH HIM, cry out to Him, send up a simple prayer. He will answer. And He will shower you in His love and mercy and grace. It's a guarantee!
